Taylor Swift Performing at 2014 MTV Video Music Awards Along with Ariana Grande, Usher and More
The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards have announced that Taylor Swift has been added to the performers list for the show in Los Angeles. Swift, who is now amazingly a veteran at these type of award shows, is always a welcomed addition as she always goes big for these performances.
According to E! News, the 24-year-old country/pop singer is planning an "explosive" performance for the show. We know that it's 'not a collaboration with another singer' but the bigger question is, will she perform a new song or old hit? We would love to hear a new song!
Other performers already announced include Usher, Ariana Grande and 5 Seconds of Summer.
Swift owns several VMA awards including in 2009 for Best Female Video for "You Belong to Me" and 2013 for "I Knew You Were Trouble."
The MTV Video Music Awards are just over a month away and the official nomination list has been released. Beyoncé received the most nominations at this year's MTV Video Music Awards with eight, including Video of the Year for "Drunk in Love," Best Female Video for "Partition," and Best Video with a Social Message for "Pretty Hurts." Eminem and Iggy Azalea were next in line receiving seven nominations each.
Other favorites for the night will be new comer Sam Smith, Pharrell Williams' hit song "Happy," and Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" all up for various awards.
The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards will air live on MTV on Aug. 24 at 9 p.m. from The Forum in Inglewood, California.
