Pirates of the Caribbean 5 [No Sea Monsters, Just Ghosts And Maybe A Witch? The Last In The Series!!?] Release Date, Teasers, Cast News, And More!

Pirates of the Caribbean, the next installment in the fantasy adventure film franchise series that is inspired by a Walt Disney theme park ride, finally gets the green light for a July 7, 2017, theater opening. Originally set for July 2015, the release date was moved back to accommodate script rewrites. Pirates of the Caribbean 5 will be titled Dead Men Tell No Tales.
Unlike previous Pirates of the Caribbean films, there will be no Kraken and other sea monsters in Dead Men Tell No Tales. In a talk with Collider, franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer said, "I think we're back to more of a straight pirate movie this time...[as indicated] in the script I read recently." There may however be ghosts and a possible witch.
According to Daily Mail, the forthcoming film will show Jack and his pirate crew in battle with the ghost of Captain Brand for possession of the strange magical Trident. It will also show Jack and Carina Smyth, Barbosa's daughter and a suspected witch but is really just a scientist who knows her astronomy, falling for each other. The movie's script notes obtained by the online daily says, "She falls for Jack as their adventures keep them together, but he rebuffs her advances in fear of angering Barbosa."
To be directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg based on Jeff Nathanson's screenplay, Pirates of the Caribbean 5 will begin filming in Puerto Rico and New Orleans before the end of the year. Franchise star Johnny Depp who plays Jack Sparrow said Disney and Bruckheimer invited him to collaborate with Nathanson on the script. He gave hints that this may be the last in the series. In an interview with Inquirer, he said, "So I have high hopes for that Pirates 5 because if that's really the last one, which it probably is, I feel that we it to the audience who went and saw the films so many times. We'll do it right and end it on a high note."
