The 24th installment in the spy film franchise series that is based on Ian Fleming's James Bond novels is slated for theater release on October 23, 2015, in the UK and for November 6, 2015, in the US. To be simply called "Bond 24," the new movie will again be directed by Sam Mendes, the director responsible for the blockbuster Skyfall, arguably the best Bond movie ever. The Skyfall  screenwriters John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade will also be back to do the Bond 24 script. And of course actor Daniel Craig will be returning to reprise his character as James Bond.

After minor delays caused by script rewrites, production is all set to begin by December of this year. The movie's producers, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, are reportedly already scouting for shooting locations in Morocco, Austria, and Rome. Bond films are known for their extensive use of scenes which take place in various places of the globe.

Bond 24 may not immediately be taking off from where Skyfall left off.  As Sam Mendes, in an interview at the Charlie Rose Show which aired on Hulu TV, puts it, "What we tried to do, and audiences seemed to embrace in Skyfall, is that for the first time, characters were allowed to age. And they were allowed to acknowledge - in a kind of a sly, mischievous way - the history of the franchise that they'd been part of." So in Bond 24, can we expect the characters to age even more?

Regarding the new Bond movie, Daniel Craig in a talk with Vulture said, "Hopefully we'll reclaim some of the old irony, and make sure it doesn't get pastiche. I can't do shtick, I'm not very good at it. Unless it kind of suddenly made sense..." He may however have to brush up on his comedic timing. The rewritten script reportedly now carries more gags and witty repartee between his character and Miss Moneypenny and M.

Aside from Craig, the other confirmed members of the cast so far only include Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw.
