1K Phew Releases New Single, "Favorite Trapper"
1K Phew officially announces the release date of his Collaborative Album with Zaytoven, "Pray For Atlanta." Coming January 19th, 2024, you can pre-order/pre-save now and listen to his latest single "Favorite Trapper" ft. Atlanta Hip Hop legend, Young Dro, and 1K Pson.

This is the second single from the Grammy-winning producer Zaytoven and rapper 1K Phew this year following the release of "On Fire" in October. "Favorite Trapper," features Young Dro, acclaimed for the double-platinum hit "Shoulder Lean" following his signing with T.I.'s label, and 1K Pson, from the 1K Famo collective. Collectively, the four artists' represent deep roots for their hometown Atlanta and bring their own unique flavor the energetic record.
"Man it was crazy putting this track together," says 1K Phew. "Young Dro and Zaytoven are each ATL legends in their own rights, so to have them both on this record with my bro, Pson, was a moment I'll never forget." Phew initially announced the song on Dec 1st with a clip showing behind the scenes in the studio when they recorded Dro's verse here. "I really hope the people feel the same energy listening to this song that we felt making it. We had to talk about what God has done for us in our lives and we know that God can really do the same for anyone."
It's no secret if you've been listening to 1K Phew that he loves the city of Atlanta. Growing up in Lithonia, just east of the city, 1K Phew was has repped being an Atlanta native since the beginning. Now, he is looking to light a new fire under the streets of Atlanta for change.
Just before the release of the song, 1K Phew also posted the official cover art for the upcoming project here. He also officailly release the track-list but with the unnamed features crossed out kicking off conversation around who it may be and building anticipation for the offifical reveal. Following the release his collaborative project with Lecrae, No Church in A While, in 2021, and his debut solo album, As I Am, in 2023, 1K Phew has solidified himself as a household name in Christian Hip Hop. Born and raised in the city of Atlanta, Phew's has not only sought to create music that will lead people to God, but also be a light in his city. "I may not be able to save Atlanta, but I'm for sure going to Pray For Atlanta..." he says. "I am not God and I'm not trying to act like I can save this city, but I do love this city and I hate to see darkness creep in. I know the One who can make a difference so I'm for sure going to point people to him."
Known for his catchy melodies and Atlanta Trap sound, 1k Phew is primed and ready to share this music with the world in hopes that not only Atlanta, but cities all of the world would be encouraged to act on the violence and darkness consuming our days through leaning on God and praying for change.
