Ivanka Trump and CityServe Partner to Enhance Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts
Ivanka Trump joined CityServe in Western North Carolina on Wednesday, October 2 to deliver essential hurricane relief to devastated storm victims. The former White House adviser offered words of hope and encouragement - all while helping to distribute hot meals, fresh produce, and vital supplies to those affected by Hurricane Helene.
"Words cannot convey the heartfelt love and compassion Ivanka is demonstrating for families that have lost everything," shared CityServe co-founder Dave Donaldson. "To know they matter, to see that Ivanka Trump stands with them and is personally moved by their courage and resilience - it means the world to this storm-tossed community right now."
Already, 16 truckloads of relief supplies are on their way to the five-state region struck by Helene. This aid is part of a collaborative effort between the CityServe church-based network and several faith-based nonprofits, including 180 Disaster Relief, Spokes of Hope, Love and Life Foundation, National Faith Advisory Board, Planet Harvest, and Paula White Ministries.
"I've had the privilege of being able to join CityServe all over the country and around the world," said Ivanka Trump. "We're feeding those in need. Some people are pulling up to get their food. In other cases, we're dropping it off at their doorsteps which sends a message of love and hope and support."
Numerous other organizations have joined the relief efforts, including Mercy Chefs which is setting up distribution centers that aim to provide over 10,000 meals daily. Love and Life, a nonprofit coordinating air rescues for stranded individuals, has also joined in this effort and is restoring vital communication for first responders and families via Starlink communication devices donated by SpaceX.
"Just by being here," said CityServe Senior Vice President Todd Lamphere, "Ivanka is putting the smiles on their faces, hope in their hearts, and letting them know they're not alone. They know people love them, they're not alone and people really care."
