Rev. Samuel Rodriguez Receives Prestigious Jack Hayford Lifetime Achievement Award
Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, a prominent leader in the Christian community and advocate for the Hispanic Evangelical movement, was honored with the prestigious Jack Hayford Lifetime Achievement Award during a special ceremony held at The King's University. This award is given to individuals whose lives reflect the core values of family, generosity, and spiritual dedication, embodying the legacy of Dr. Jack Hayford, founder of The King's University.
"I am humbled and honored to receive such a special award," said Rev. Rodriguez. "Dr. Jack Hayford was a remarkable man with a deep passion for advancing the Kingdom of God and training a generation of Christian leaders who are committed to serving Christ and living out His calling on their lives. I am blessed to walk in Dr. Hayford's footsteps and continue the mission he dedicated his life to."
This award, formerly known as the Apostolos Christou Award, was renamed in 2019 to honor the vision and impact of Dr. Jack Hayford, who founded The King's University in 1997 to create an institution dedicated to providing theological and ministerial training for future generations. The university, headquartered in Southlake, Texas, has been operated under the leadership of Gateway Church since 2013, and is committed to preparing men and women for Christian leadership and service in the global community.
Recipients of the award have demonstrated exceptional devotion to family values grounded in biblical principles, a spirit of generosity, and who have promoted the message of God's love and truth worldwide. Rev. Rodriguez joins a distinguished group of honorees, including Dr. Kenneth Ulmer, Michael W. Smith, Pat and Shirley Boone, Kathie Lee Gifford, and John Maxwell, who have significantly contributed to the Christian faith and its global expansion.
The ceremony highlighted Rev. Rodriguez's unwavering commitment to fulfilling the Great Commission and his passion for raising a new generation of Christian leaders. The King's University acknowledged that, like Dr. Hayford, Rev. Rodriguez has been a spiritual leader, dedicating his life to equipping and inspiring others to bring the message of Jesus Christ to the world.
This prestigious award recognizes Rev. Rodriguez's past contributions and reaffirms his ongoing mission to inspire, lead, and serve the global Christian community. As he continues to uphold the values of faith, family, and service, Rev. Rodriguez's influence remains a vital force in the history of the church's impact on the world.
