DocuFilm "The Lunatic Farmer" Follows the Life of Joel Salatin

Angel Studios, the innovative platform that empowers creators to crowdfund, create, and distribute films and TV series globally with full creative control, is announcing the release of feature-film documentary, THE LUNATIC FARMER, which follows the life of Joel Salatin, a self-described Christian, libertarian, environmentalist, capitalist, and lunatic farmer. The project launched today, January 23rd, exclusively on Angel.com and the Angel app.
"Joel Salatin, the most famous farmer on earth, brings a dirt-under-the-fingernails experience, eclecticism, and dash of mischievous humor to food and farming," says David Fischer, Director of Business Affairs and Acquisitions at Angel Studios.
"Joel will have audiences belly-laughing and moments later moved to action as he dives into the nitty-gritty of regenerative farming and cultural philosophy. We are thrilled that the Angel Guild responded so strongly to his story."

Joel and his family own Polyface Farm in Swoope, Virginia. Featured in the New York Times bestseller Omnivore's Dilemma and award-winning documentary FOOD INC., the farm feeds more than 5,000 families, 50 restaurants, 10 retail outlets, and a farmers' market with a smorgasbord of offerings. In love with the land, dubious of government, Joel is the quintessential entrepreneur, but is distrustful of anything that diminishes the commons. His perspective brings depth and breadth to the table. Audiences will watch him on the road speaking and at home on the farm, mentoring young Americans, inspiring visitors, and promoting local, regenerative food and farming systems.
The documentary hits at the same time that Angel is seeing an upswing in interest from similar topics that are featured in the HOMESTEAD film and series. THE LUNATIC FARMER is unique in both sharing Joel's life and passions while allowing audiences to glimpse into how they may be able to bring more natural lifestyle choices into their daily lives.
