"I Will Not Be Moved: Live with The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir" Releases Feb. 28

I Will Not Be Moved: Live with The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, the highly anticipated new recording from the multi-GRAMMY and Dove Award-winning worship trailblazers, will be available February 28. Produced by The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir's founding musical director, Carol Cymbala, along with J. Daniel Smith, the iconic ensemble's StowTown Worship sophomore set spotlights guest turns from Dove Award winner Babbie Mason, acclaimed singer/songwriter and worship leader Stephen McWhirter, Elevation's Brad Hudson, and powerhouse vocalist TaRanda Greene.
Showcasing three impassioned originals composed by Cymbala-whose songs have helped define the renowned group's signature sound for nearly five decades-I Will Not Be Moved also features seven worship favorites penned by such genre tastemakers as Bryan Fowler, Joel Houston, Stephen McWhirter, Andrew Ripp and Ethan Hulse, among others.
Recorded live at New York's landmark Brooklyn Tabernacle, I Will Not Be Moved offers exuberant anthems of praise and heartfelt moments of reverent worship-all backed by the church's celebrated choir. Opening with the joyful and buoyant title-cut featuring Brad Hudson, additional highlights of the project include Babbie Mason's powerful and reflective ballad "I Thank You Jesus"; the uplifting "You Keep On Blessing Me," featuring beloved Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir soloist Joanne Brown; and "Come Jesus Come," a soulful plea for mercy co-penned and led by Stephen McWhirter.
"When I wrote 'Come Jesus Come' I wasn't trying to write a song that would go as far as it has, and I never could have imagined I would get to sing it with The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir," McWhirter shares. "It's like being strapped to a Holy Spirit freight train. It was such an overwhelming moment, and I pray it draws people closer to Jesus."
Bestselling author and speaker Jim Cymbala, who has served as pastor of The Brooklyn Tabernacle since 1971, says of the motivation behind the choir's latest release, "It's wonderful to hear believers who love the Lord sing praises and reaffirm their commitment to Jesus Christ. They have decided that no matter what happens, their faith will not be moved."
"The music of The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir has always been a staple in global Church music and in my personal life," adds Landon Beene, president, StowTown Records/StowTown Worship. "The new songs written by Carol Cymbala, along with the favorites showcased throughout the project, are all so fresh and inviting, yet still drenched in the passionate truths that we have come to love over the years. Our StowTown Worship team is thrilled to present this project, and we know that it will minister to hearts around the world."
I Will Not Be Moved: Live with The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir arrives on the heels of the group's 2022 StowTown Worship debut, A Night of Worship with The Brooklyn Tabernacle. The latter project garnered two 2023 Dove Awards for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year for "He's Been Faithful" (feat. TaRanda Greene) and Musical/Choral Collection of the Year.
