After a brief delay, CBS' flagship comedy The Big Bang Theory is now officially ready for the production of its much awaited upcoming 8th season which was originally scheduled to begin on July 30. The three main stars of the show, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki, had finally renewed their deals wherein they had agreed to three year contracts. The studio revealed that Parsons, Cuoco and Galecki are set to earn $1 million in every episode for The Big Bang Theory season 8, 9 and 10, which would total to around 72 episodes; reports even suggest that the production is already looking hopeful for an 11th season. As reported, the deals also "include larger ownership pieces, signing bonuses, production deals and advances towards the back - end."
The Big Bang Theory co - creator and executive producer Chuck Lore dishes out some bits of interesting spoilers and possible plot shakeups for Season 8 at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour.
For the Big bang Theory Season 8, "Penny (Kaley Cuoco) has an interesting arc where she puts acting down." He continued: "She gets a shot to be a pharmaceutical rep at Bernadette's (Melissa Rauch) company."
According to Lore, this development in Penny's job as well as her newfound independence could strike some friction with her soon - to - be husband Leonard (Galecki). Because of her new job, Penny would get to earn some money and may cause a shift in their couple roles and thus may result to an unbalance relationship.
"These characters, as they grow, they deal with more things," Lorre said, referring to Sheldon Cooper (Parsons) whom he believed has grown greatly over the years.
