Tosh, formerly known by his stage name "737," is a Christian hip-hop artist hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana. During his high school years, he was deeply immersed in basketball, basking in the sport's limelight and the accolades that accompanied his on-court achievements. However, after graduation, Roy experienced a profound spiritual transformation that redirected his ambitions towards a fervent pursuit of Christ.
Despite lacking a formal musical background, Roy felt compelled to share his newfound faith through hip-hop music. Under the moniker "737," he released albums like "Get You Some" and "Convinced," the latter peaking at #25 on iTunes' Hip-Hop/Rap charts. These projects featured collaborations with artists such as R-Swift, D-Maub, K-Drama, J'son, and Dillon Chase.
In 2014, with guidance from artists Andy Mineo and Benjah, Roy underwent a rebranding, adopting his birth names to perform as "Roy Tosh." This transition marked a stylistic evolution, incorporating melodic elements into his music. His free album, "The Revert," showcased this growth, featuring collaborations with Benjah, Deraj, TJ Pompeo, and Black Knight.
Now based in Orlando, Florida, Roy Tosh continues to inspire through his music and ministry, sharing his journey from athletic aspirations to a life dedicated to faith and artistic expression.
