Jon Guerra Sets to Music the Life and Teachings of Jesus

Jon Guerra released his latest album, "Jesus," on April 4, 2025. This 12-track collection serves as a profound musical meditation on the life and teachings of Christ, with each song engaging directly with His words.
The album opens with "In the Beginning Was Love," setting a thematic foundation that portrays Jesus as the embodiment of divine love. It concludes with the titular track, "Jesus," encapsulating the album's central message. An instrumental piece, "The Death of Lazarus," placed midway, offers a reflective pause, symbolizing the interruption of death and the hope of resurrection.
Prior to the album's release, Guerra unveiled singles such as "I See the Birds," addressing themes of anxiety and trust in divine provision; "Who Is Greatest?" which reflects on the Beatitudes and the values of the Kingdom of God; and "Reckoner (An Axe Laid at the Root)," channeling the voice of John the Baptist.
Critics have praised "Jesus" for its soul-nourishing and faith-enriching content. Brett McCracken of The Gospel Coalition described it as "Christian music that deserves the largest possible audience."
