True Detective Season 2 is quickly closing in and yes, the man who created the series, Nic Pizzolatto has revealed more than just True Detective season 2 news. Despite news of Pizzolatto being accused of plagiarizing Thomas Ligotti's book, the neo-Noir police-detective series will be having a complete 360 degree turn especially that it will have a new story and new characters. In fact, he did state that it will be going along the lines of "hard women, bad men and the secret occult history of the United States transportation system" and starts at a lesser known place in California. News about True Detective season 2 does not stop there as the series will also be having multiple directors given that Season 1 Direction Cary Fukunaga will no longer be returning.
True Detective Season 2 cast rumors are out as well with actors like Jessica Chastain being suggested, McConaughey's return to the entry of Colin Farrell and Taylor Kitsch though none are completely confirmed as of this writing. Though there have been stories from TVLine that Vince Vaughn is going through talks on being a lead in the HBO drama.
Looking at that, it would seem that True Detective might be following the footsteps of another television show where each season features a new story, new cast and a new theme. Sounds like it's going to be an exciting season 2 for it's viewers.
