Nicole Scherzinger Gives Glory to God in Emotional Speech After Winning Tony Award

In a powerful and heartfelt moment at the 78th Annual Tony Awards, Broadway star Nicole Scherzinger brought the house to its feet as she accepted the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her acclaimed performance as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard.
With tears streaming down her face, Scherzinger opened her acceptance speech by giving credit where she said it was most due:
"First of all, I just have to thank God for carrying me every step of the way. I give You all the glory."
The former Pussycat Dolls singer, who has received widespread acclaim for her transformative portrayal in Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic, went on to thank her mother, who raised her at 18, and her grandparents for instilling in her deep-rooted faith and resilience.
"Growing up, I always felt like I didn't belong," she shared. "But you all have made me feel like I belong, and I have come home at last."
She also honored her fiancé Thom Evans, as well as her fellow nominees, calling them "exceptional warrior women." Scherzinger offered words of encouragement to anyone who may feel overlooked or forgotten, saying, "Don't give up. The world needs your light and your love."
The win marks a major milestone for Scherzinger, who previously won the Laurence Olivier Award for the same role in London's West End. Her journey from international pop sensation to Tony Award-winning actress is being hailed as a triumph of perseverance, faith, and reinvention.
Nicole Scherzinger's performance in Sunset Boulevard has been praised as a career-defining moment, showcasing her vocal and emotional range in one of Broadway's most iconic roles.
