3 Doors Down Frontman Brad Arnold Shares Cancer Diagnosis: “God will Fight this Battle for Me”

Brad Arnold, lead singer of multi-platinum rock band 3 Doors Down, has announced that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 clear cell renal cell carcinoma, a rare form of kidney cancer that has metastasized to his lungs.
In a deeply personal video shared with fans on social media, Arnold opened up about his diagnosis and his steadfast faith in the face of adversity.
"I want you all to hear this from me," Arnold said. "I've been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer. It's spread to my lungs. But I'm not scared. We serve a mighty God, and He can overcome anything. God will fight this battle for me."
Known for iconic hits such as "Kryptonite," "Here Without You," and "It's Not My Time," 3 Doors Down has been a staple in rock music for over two decades. The band recently made the difficult decision to cancel their scheduled summer tour, including appearances alongside Creed, in order for Arnold to focus on treatment and recovery.
Arnold encouraged fans to find hope in their music, especially in the 2008 anthem "It's Not My Time," a song that has taken on renewed meaning for him during this season.
"I've listened to it over and over lately," Arnold shared. "The message of that song hits harder now than ever."
Messages of love and support have poured in from fans and fellow artists alike, including Chris Daughtry, Scott Stapp, and Jason Aldean.
As Arnold begins this journey, he is asking for continued prayers and positivity from fans around the world.
"Whatever happens, I know I'm not walking through this alone," he said. "I believe in healing. I believe in miracles. And I believe in the power of prayer."
No further touring plans have been announced at this time. Updates will be shared via the band's official website and social media channels.
