Castle Season 7 Episode 1 is the first part of a two-parter that will pick up immediately after the explosive Season 6 finale. As told by new showrunner David Amann to Give Me My Remote, The Castle Season 7 premiers is "going to be dealing with the aftermath of what happened in the season finale. We have some really intriguing questions that are going to arise from this about what happened to Castle. So we're going to raise some interesting questions for the next couple of episodes in terms of what happened to Castle and why. It opens us up for some great mythology opportunities for Castle that we'll also be probably revisiting later in the season."

Castle Season 7 will now also be more about Castle. It will give more focus on the Castle character than previous seasons did. According to show creator and former showrunner Andrew Marlowe in a talk with TVLine, "We're not looking to significantly alter the trajectory of their relationship or pull the rug out from under the audience. We're looking to open up some really interesting aspects of storytelling for the Castle character, who hasn't been as deeply explored as Beckett over the past six years - and we're really excited by that opportunity."

Any other Castle Season 7 spoilers? TVLine further revealed that Ryan Sands who plays 'Truck' on the Wire will guest star in Castle Season 7 Episode 1 as 'Tagger,' a Hampton police sergeant who will help Beckett in her investigation of the case. Then there will also be guest portrayals for a doctor, a shrink and a Coast Guard captain.
