Sam McCabe Releases “Hold Me Jesus” Featuring Michael W. Smith

Rising artist, songwriter, and producer Sam McCabe has released a brand-new version of the beloved worship classic "Hold Me Jesus" today, featuring the legendary Michael W. Smith. The single is now available on all major streaming platforms.
Written and originally recorded by the late Rich Mullins, "Hold Me Jesus" has remained one of the most cherished songs in contemporary Christian music history. McCabe's new rendition honors the timeless beauty of Mullins' original while offering a fresh, heartfelt interpretation for a new generation of listeners. Known for his creative production style and his ability to blend classic worship roots with modern sounds, McCabe brings both reverence and innovation to this reimagined version.
Produced by McCabe himself, the single features vocals from Sam McCabe, Michael W. Smith, and Samantha McCabe, creating a rich, multi-layered worship experience. The track was mixed by Jeff Armstreet and released through Integrated Music Rights.
"I've loved this song for so long, and it means the world to finally release our version with Michael," shares McCabe. "It's a prayer, a comfort, and a reminder that in our weakness, Christ holds us together."
Fans can now stream "Hold Me Jesus" wherever music is available and are encouraged to share it with others as a source of comfort and hope.
