Grace Kelley, Daughter of Wynonna Judd, Baptized at Church She Once Stole Van From

In a powerful story of grace, forgiveness, and redemption, Grace Kelley---daughter of country music legend Wynonna Judd---was baptized this month in the very church where, less than a year ago, she had been arrested for stealing a church van.
After years of battling addiction and facing multiple arrests in 2024, Kelley's life has taken a remarkable turn. Jail time, coupled with the support of a faith-based recovery community in Charlottesville, led her to surrender her life to Christ. "My entire life, the reason I travel so much is I was looking for home. But ever since I came to Charlottesville and I gave my life to God - oh, man, it's just beautiful. I love it here," Kelley shared with The Daily Progress.
In a moving act of reconciliation, the church chose to embrace Kelley with open arms. Pastor Kent Hart reflected, "We devoted an entire service to her. On a personal level, we forgive her. If there's ever an opportunity for us to be a part of her redemptive process in any way, we're absolutely open to that."
Kelley's baptism stands as a testimony to the transformative power of the Gospel and the depth of Christian forgiveness. What began as a story of brokenness has become one of healing, hope, and renewal.
Today, Kelley is celebrating her sobriety and is actively involved in a sober living community, continuing her journey of faith with the support of believers who have chosen to walk alongside her.
Her story serves as a reminder that no one is beyond the reach of God's redeeming love.
