John Crist Returns To Nashville For One-Night Only Comedy Show

Comedian John Crist announces a one-night-only show at the Grand Ole Opry House on Sunday, January 25th. The evening, which will feature two opening acts, marks his first Nashville show in two years, following three back-to-back sold out shows at Nashville's famed Ryman Auditorium in January of 2024. "The first show I ever did in Nashville was September 20th, 2016 at Mineo's Pizza," says Crist. "I literally don't even know if that place is still there. I got to do a small show at Trevecca in 2017 and hundreds of sets at Zanies over the years, and got all the way to selling out the Ryman three times in 2024. Everywhere I go in this town, people come up and tell me the first show they ever came to. It's just so fun to chat and remember. I'm honored to add the Opry House to the list of iconic venues we've played in this city. Can't wait!" Talent pre-sale will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, September 17th at 10 AM local time, with local pre-sale starting this Thursday, September 18th at 10 AM local time. Public on-sale begins Friday, September 19th at 10 AM local time, with tickets available via johncristcomedy.com. In the past year, Crist has been a fixture in pop culture and continues his ascent as one of the globe's top touring comedians. In the last 12 months alone, his momentum continues to build:
Crist first got his start in the Nashville comedy scene at Zanies Comedy Club, the first to give him a headlining slot back in 2016. Since then, the club has become a creative home base for Crist, who has performed on its stage hundreds of times over the years. It's also where he workshopped the material that fans can expect to hear at the Grand Ole Opry House this January. A mainstay of the area's comedy community, Crist has also made several appearances on fellow Nashville comedian Nate Bargatze's Natelandpodcast, Taylor Lewin and Will Compton's Bussin with the Boys and Theo Von's This Past Weekend. The Georgia-native turned Nashville local has built a massive online fanbase of more than 7.5 million with his sharp, Southern-tinged wit and hilarious cultural commentary. In addition to his live shows, fans can keep up with Crist and celebrity guests on his Net Positive Podcast, which has featured Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell, comedian Dusty Slay, ESPN College GameDay's Kirk Herbstreit, musicians including Jordan Davis and more.
