Bethel Music’s Garett And Kate Serban Release Debut Single “How Great Thou Art (Live)”

Bethel Music's Garett and Kate Serban announce the release of their debut single "How Great Thou Art (Live)," available today on all major streaming platforms alongside a live performance video. Captured during a Sunday service at Bethel Church in Redding, Calif., the powerful recording breathes new life into the timeless hymn, offering a Spirit-filled expression of worship. Rooted in a legacy of generational faith and awe for God's greatness, "How Great Thou Art (Live)" marks the Serbans' first official release since joining the Bethel Music collective earlier this year. Featuring rich harmonies and a passionate delivery, the track invites listeners into a moment of worship that reverberates with wonder, surrender, and deep reverence.
"We are so excited for the release of 'How Great Thou Art,'" says Garett and Kate Serban. "This song is a timeless hymn that we grew up on that holds rich history in our lives. We love how it tells the story of our creator God and our Savior. It really centers us back to how vast our God is and what we have to look forward to on the day we step into eternity, meeting Him face to face, the moment we all are waiting for. What a moment that will be! We pray that this song will continue to take root in our children and their children's children. We remember hearing our grandparents sing this hymn over us and we desire that our grandchildren will remember us singing this in the years to come. A generational proclamation of who our God is!"
The couple, based in Franklin, Tenn., joined Bethel Music in December 2024 following the growth of their weekly online "Worship Sessions" - a spontaneous gathering marked by unhurried, Spirit-led moments of worship. Raised in ministry as pastor's kids, Garett and Kate each began leading worship at a young age and have carried a shared heart for worship and revival since their early years in local church leadership.
