Kimberly Clarke, creator and producer of the new 8-episode series MIRACLE from Angel Studios, sits down to share her personal journey of miraculous healing and the inspiration behind the series. Premiering September 29, 2025, MIRACLE is a supernatural series that uncovers true stories of the impossible-moments that defy logic, science, and skepticism. Through gripping firsthand accounts, cinematic reenactments, and expert analysis, each episode explores a case of divine intervention. The series also features exclusive music videos from Christian artists like Natalie Grant, Phil Wickham, and Sarah Reeves, creating a fully immersive storytelling experience. In this interview, Kimberly discusses her own transformative healing, the process of documenting modern-day miracles, and the hope she hopes viewers will take away about faith, healing, and the unexplainable.

Q: Kimberly, can you share your personal miracle healing story and how it inspired you to create the series MIRACLE?
In 2018 I experienced an instant and miraculous healing in my back from a longtime injury. I also experienced emotional healing and other physical healings over the months that followed. I had grown up in the church and my grandfather was a Southern Baptist minister, but this was all unfamiliar to me.
As an adult, I had been a part of churches all across the country, traveled the world extensively and lived a really robust life - yet not once had I heard of or met a person who had experienced a miracle.
This experience is what set my heart on fire to create MIRACLE, so people can know for themselves that miracles are not just stories in the Bible - they are happening today.
Q: How do you approach documenting and vetting modern day miracles that defy medical explanation while maintaining authenticity?
Five months after I experienced the healing of my back, I was introduced to Dr. Josh Brown and his team at Global Medical Research Institute and I began to learn about their incredible work. Josh himself had experienced a miraculous healing of brain cancer 20 years ago and along with his wife Dr. Candy Brown, founded GMRI. Their work has been peer-reviewed and published in medical journals. The Browns and their team look at each story through the lens of researching scientific evidence and the reviewing of medical records.
The best part about sharing true stories is in the power of each person's testimony. When you accompany this with first hand accounts, witnesses and the "proof" - the authenticity in each story comes through on its own.
Q: The series explores the intersection of science and the unexplained. How do you balance rigorous documentation with honoring the spiritual aspects of the stories?
My experience has been a fluid one, where science and faith go hand in hand with each other in the stories we share. None of us can know until we get to heaven the how's and why's of God - including why some people are healed while others have not yet experienced healing, or why some find their healing in heaven. We can only share what we have learned and have experienced for ourselves.
The science and medical evidence gives people "proof" they can ponder on. I myself was captivated by this information as I tried to understand my own miracle healing. The spiritual aspects of each testimony we share are beautiful - God shows up in a different way in each of the stories and our team is truly honored to have the privilege of telling then in a cinematic way. Two of my partners have also experienced miracles - one will be featured this season and the other in season two - so we come to this project full of faith that cannot be shaken and overwhelming gratitude for what God did for us.
Q: In a genre often met with skepticism, what strategies did you use to build credibility and engage both faith-based and mainstream audiences?
It was important to our team that we present an unbiased and balanced approach to the subject of supernatural miracles in a way that would appeal to a widespread audience. I believe that MIRACLE will naturally appeal within the faith and heart position of a believer - knowing God more intimately is the hearts desire. Like I mentioned previously, I was full of faith but had no idea about miracles until my own experience changed everything. You simply cannot remain the same.
In addition to the scientific evidence and medical proof, we have assembled an advisory board of top Protestant and Catholic theologians to bring a biblical and historical balance to the project. We plan in future seasons to tackle the subject of suffering, unanswered prayers and the challenge of belief, as we know those can also be blockages for viewers to experience the fullness of the testimonies we present.
Q: Each episode features original music from artists like Phil Wickham and Natalie Grant. How does the music enhance the storytelling and emotional impact of the miracles showcased?
Music is the conduit to heaven - everything is better with beautiful music! We imagined an immersive experience for the viewer of both sight and sound - where the music is an extension of the story. Each song is an original piece created specifically for the MIRACLE episode and the score was composed to take the viewer on a journey. At the end of each episode, we showcase a video of the original song with highlights from the episode. Our hope is that as people listen, they will feel a touch from heaven.
Q: What do you hope viewers take away after experiencing MIRACLE, and how do you want the series to challenge or inspire their faith?
My hope is that every person who watches MIRACLE has an experience of relationship - not religion. Relationship is a personal invitation to come closer. I once heard a quote I love - "A person with an argument will never win over a person with an experience."
I believe that when people hear these testimonies of what God has done, their curiosity will be sparked and then Jeremiah 33:3 will then come to life - "Call to me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."
