Krissy Nordhoff Shares the Joy of the Season with New Holiday EP "Merry Everything Happy Always"
Award-winning songwriter and worship artist Krissy Nordhoff invites listeners into a season of warmth, laughter, and heartfelt faith with the release of her brand-new Christmas EP, Merry Everything Happy Always - available now on all streaming platforms.
Brimming with lighthearted celebration and genuine holiday spirit, Merry Everything Happy Always captures Nordhoff's return to the sheer joy of making music - not for charts or accolades, but from the simple, childlike love of creating. The project's title track, released today, sets the tone for an EP that is both deeply personal and universally festive.
"I know it's early," Krissy laughs, "but recording Christmas music felt like I let my heart out on the playground again! This project was one of pure joy - writing and singing just because it makes me happy. I hope this brings others the same kind of joy I felt while making it."
Nordhoff co-wrote and recorded the project with her longtime friend and collaborator Lonnie Lee Fowler, a fellow musician from her college days who also produced the EP. Their creative partnership - one that stretches back to early songwriting sessions and shared dreams - flourishes again in this project, blending nostalgic warmth with contemporary production and heartfelt lyrics.
"Working with Lonnie felt like coming home," Nordhoff shares. "We've grown so much since those early days, but our love for music and storytelling has never changed. Every song on this project came from a place of friendship and gratitude."
Each track on Merry Everything Happy Always reflects a unique facet of the Christmas experience - from tender reflections on the Savior's birth to joyful celebrations of togetherness, gratitude, and hope. The EP radiates authenticity and emotional depth while remaining delightfully accessible, inviting listeners of all ages to pause, smile, and remember what truly matters.
As a celebrated songwriter behind many of Christian music's most beloved worship anthems - including "Your Great Name," "Famous For (I Believe)," and "Mercy Tree" - Krissy Nordhoff has long been recognized for her ability to combine spiritual depth with emotional resonance. In Merry Everything Happy Always, she brings that same sincerity into the Christmas genre, infusing each melody with heart, humor, and hope.
"The holidays can be both beautiful and bittersweet," Nordhoff reflects. "But music has this amazing way of bringing people together and reminding us that joy is still possible - not because everything is perfect, but because love came down at Christmas. That's what this project is all about."
With its blend of traditional warmth and creative freshness, Merry Everything Happy Always offers the perfect soundtrack for decorating the tree, gathering with loved ones, or simply finding a moment of peace during the busy season. From its playful title to its heartfelt storytelling, the project reminds us all to hold on to joy - not just during Christmas, but always.
