Brandon Heath Announces New Album “Long Expected” — A Season of Hope Realised
Five-time GRAMMY® nominee and eight-time GMA Dove Award winner Brandon Heath is back with his brand-new Christmas album, Long Expected, released October 24, 2025, through Centricity Music. Known for his honest storytelling and heartfelt melodies, Heath brings together joy, faith, and wonder in this 13-track collection that celebrates the long-awaited hope of the season - the arrival of Jesus Christ.
Following the success of his recent projects, Heath's Long Expected marks his first full-length Christmas record and features powerful collaborations with Francesca Battistelli, Tasha Layton, and Rachel Purcell. Each song blends his signature acoustic-pop sensibility with rich, worshipful tones and holiday warmth, offering a soundtrack that captures both the sacred and the sentimental sides of Christmas.
From the reflective "Long Expected" featuring Francesca Battistelli to the jubilant "Joy (To The World)" and the soulful "God Made a Way" featuring Tasha Layton, Heath invites listeners to rediscover the beauty of the season. Songs like "I Know a Guy," "Baby in a Manger," and "We Need Emmanuel" center the album on themes of incarnation, grace, and divine timing, while "Downtown Christmas Tree Farm" and "Santa Claus Will Find You" add a nostalgic sparkle and lighthearted charm.
"This album has been on my heart for a long time," Heath shares. "Christmas is more than lights and songs - it's about expectation fulfilled. I wanted to write an album that captures the waiting and the joy that comes when God keeps His promises. Every track is a reflection on how hope finally arrived in the form of a baby."
Produced by [insert producer name if known], Long Expected showcases Heath's lyrical depth and signature warmth that have made him one of contemporary Christian music's most trusted voices. The record pairs intimate storytelling with lush arrangements that feel both timeless and new, evoking the anticipation of Advent and the celebration of Christmas morning.
The album's title track serves as its centerpiece - a duet with Francesca Battistelli that perfectly encapsulates the message of Emmanuel, God with us. Together, their harmonies soar as they proclaim the fulfillment of ancient promises and the miracle of incarnation. Tasha Layton's contribution, "God Made a Way," amplifies the project's message of divine intervention, while Rachel Purcell joins on the tender "Holiday Inn," bringing a heartfelt, cinematic glow to the collection.
With Long Expected, Heath continues to prove that faith-based music can be both deeply spiritual and artistically engaging. The album's balance of reverence and accessibility invites both longtime fans and new listeners to experience the story of Christmas afresh.
