Following a historic theatrical run, DAVID grossed nearly $80 million at the domestic box office, becoming the highest-grossing faith-based animated theatrical musical of all time and delivering the strongest three-day theatrical opening in Angel's history. The film earned a 98% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes and an A CinemaScore, cementing its status as one of the most beloved family films of 2025.
The film's impact has extended well beyond the screen. The DAVID soundtrack cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard Christian Album Chart, with music from the film - including songs by multi-platinum artist Phil Wickham - surpassing 20 million streams and remaining in the Billboard Christian/Gospel Top 10 for three consecutive weeks.
