Brian Krzanich, Intel's chief executive confirmed in a conference call that the Intel's hardware will be on the market by Christmas. This was what he said, "We said we would have products on shelves for the holiday season and we continue to work with our partners and we're on schedule to have product on shelf in the holiday."

However, people especially those who are waiting for the latest Retina MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac Mini, and MacBook Air must be more patient because they are using different Broadwell processor. Right now, Intel is shipping the M variety that is used for the fanless 2 in 1. While on the other hand, MacBook Air is using the U Broadwell processor which will be shipped next year, 2015. So, once the U Broadwell will be successfully shipped, obviously the MacBook Air Retina display production is highly possible.

What's with the delay of Broadwell Processor?

Intel revealed that the shipment of Broadwell processor for Retina display has been delay because they got issues with finances. The financial issue started with the manufacturing defect of 14-nm procedure. The 14-nm is actually one of the materials for Broadwell chips. However, despite rumors Bryan Krzanich, CEO of Intel is still confident that they can release the Broadwell Processor during the holiday season, but humble enough to admit that they can't release it by August.
