Ghana's most decorated gospel artist is gearing up for his biggest worship night of the year.
Joe Mettle has officially announced the 14th edition of his annual flagship gathering, Praise Reloaded, set for Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium in Accra, Ghana. Rehearsals are already underway, signaling that preparations for what promises to be a massive night of worship are well in motion.
This year's edition carries the theme "The River" - drawn from John 7:37-38, where Jesus declares that rivers of living water will flow from the heart of every believer. Gates open at 1:00 PM, with the main program beginning at 3:00 PM. Admission is free.
The 2026 edition marks a return to the Accra Sports Stadium after the 2025 edition was held at the El-Wak Sports Stadium. The move back to the larger venue speaks directly to the event's continued growth in both scale and spiritual impact over its 14-year run.
The first wave of confirmed performers includes Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Eugene Zuta, and the Bethel Revival Choir, with Mettle indicating additional artists from across Ghana and the international gospel community will be announced as promotions ramp up. The event is powered by Reverb, with partners including Ecobank, GTV, Asempa FM, and Joy FM.
Leading into the main event, Praise Reloaded 2026 will be preceded by a series of buildup activities including campus and church activations, a media tour, a Praise Reloaded float on June 13, a music seminar on June 20, a prayer campaign, and a week-long series of worship nights.
Mettle, who made history in 2017 as the first gospel artist ever to win the overall Artist of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, described the 2026 gathering as something larger than a concert. "This is more than an event - it is a divine assignment," he said at the official press launch, held at Reverb Studios in Sowutuom, Accra.
