In-N-Out Burger owner and president Lynsi Snyder is pointing people to God in the wake of the devastating mass shooting that unfolded at one of the chain's Idaho restaurants.
The outspoken Christian businesswoman released an emotional statement after a gunman opened fire at an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls on Saturday, killing three people-including one of the restaurant's employees-and injuring seven others before taking his own life.
"My heart is broken, my chest is heavy, my eyes burn from the tears I've shed," Snyder wrote in a heartfelt message shared with the In-N-Out community.
The tragedy has shaken the beloved fast-food chain, which has long been known not only for its burgers but also for its quiet expressions of faith. Bible verses have appeared on In-N-Out cups, wrappers, and packaging for decades-a tradition begun by Snyder's family that she has continued and expanded.
In her statement, Snyder mourned the loss of one of the company's associates, describing the employee as someone faithfully serving customers when her life was suddenly cut short.
"We lost one of our beautiful Associates tonight," Snyder wrote. "She was taking care of our most important asset-our Customers-and her life was taken."
Rather than responding with bitterness, Snyder urged people to look heavenward during the heartbreaking aftermath.
"I ask you to turn to God, not in anger, but seeking comfort and strength for those who are hurting," she said. "We will stand together, and we will do everything we can to learn from this situation."
The faith-filled message reflects Snyder's longstanding public commitment to Christianity. Despite leading one of America's most recognizable restaurant chains, she has frequently spoken about relying on God through personal loss and adversity, making her response consistent with the values that have become closely associated with the In-N-Out brand.
Authorities say the attack could have been even deadlier. An off-duty police officer and an armed citizen exchanged gunfire with the suspect, forcing him to flee before another officer confronted him. The gunman ultimately died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Officials have not yet announced a motive for the attack.
As the investigation continues, Snyder says In-N-Out will continue praying for the victims' families, employees, and everyone traumatized by the horrific violence.
She concluded her message with a simple prayer and blessing: "Love and God bless you."
