Warcraft Movie Release Date on 2016, The Challenges of Making a Video Game Adaptation and Why It's So Hard to Pull Off, Spoilers and Latest News

What better way to pay tribute to one of the world's most popular video games other than watch as it gradually comes alive on screen?

At least that was what Blizzard Entertainment (Diablo franchise, Battlenet, Starcraft) as well as Universal Pictures probably thought so when they pitched the Warcraft movie adaptation idea. But not quite what fans, video game enthusiasts and movie goers alike want yet again.

With a number of video games being adapted into big screen flops, fans are starting to become disillusioned at the whole idea. It seems wonderful at first, but do movie makers understand how video games are supposed to look as movies?

It is a good thing then that producer and Legendary CEO Thomas Tull apparently knows this dilemma. "The world does not need a bad video game movie," he said in a latest news about the upcoming Warcraft movie, commenting on how the production of this movie adaptation is taking such a long time.

As the significant pieces slowly come together, one important question about the project still remains: how can anybody render the World of Warcraft experience into the big screen? Movie spoilers focus on whether the movie will focus its plot around the franchise's namesake MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game), or by revolving around its RTS (Real Time Strategy).

Reportedly, the Warcraft movie 2016 release date was moved from December 18, 2015 to March 11, 2016, as announced by the WoW official Twitter account.
