Sony Xperia Z3 release date, Specs, News: Sony Xperia Z3 smartphone launch set for September 2014, following the success of Xperia Z2
Sony Xperia Z3 news: Less than a year after releasing the Xperia Z2, Sony is reportedly set to launch its next flagship handset, the Xperia Z3, at its press conference happening at the IFA event in Berlin this September 2014.
Sony Xperia Z3 development and testing is ongoing.
Sony Xperia Z3 is said to be the Japanese company's flagship smartphone as it aims to create a niche for itself in the highly competitive smartphones market.
Leaked images reveal that the Xperia Z3 will have external features similar to the Xperia Z2: micro SIM and micro SD card slots, a micro USB port, charging ports and stereo speakers on the front. It will supposedly have a slim metal frame.
Sony Xperia Z3 will be 7mm thin and will have soft, rounded edges, veering away from its angular look.
Internal features include a 4.5-inch, 1,080 pixel display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core chip processor clocked at 2.4GHz, an Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage, an Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS, and 20.7MP rear and 2.1MP front facing cameras.
