Scandal Season 4 latest news: the political drama series is back on air on September 28. In the previous season, we saw Olivia (Kerry Washington) and Jake (Scott Foley) leaving while Harrison's (Columbus Short) life is in danger.  Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) gets re-elected in exchange of his son's life.  

What happens next? Here are "Scandal" Season 4 spoilers for you:

• "Lost" actress Sonya Wagler joins the series. Interestingly, Sonya's onscreen partner in "Lost", Henry Ian Cusick, was also part of "Scandal" two years ago.

• Columbus Short  has been fired by the show's network, ABC, so expect his character, Harrison, to be killed off in "Scandal" Season 4. The actor has been reportedly accused of domestic violence."Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison   Wright to exit the canvas," Short said in a TMZ interview.

• Fitz and Mellies's marriage is still on the rocks. "Scandal" Season 3 brought a whole new dimension to their relationship, with Fitz finding out that his father raped Mellie (Bellamy Young) and  both losing a son. Will they work it out? That remains to be seen in "Scandal" Season 4.

• Olivia and Fitz's on and off relationship will continue.  Could it be really love? Fans will have to find out this season.

• Expect a lot of story arcs to be reinvented, with a lot of plot twists and turns.  Series creators have said fans can expect a darker, a more intense yet a more exciting "Scandal" Season 4.

• Portia de Rossi, Josh Randall, Mary Mccormack, and Kelen Coleman will guest star in "Scandal" Season 4. No details yet on their roles and the number of episodes they will be seen in so stay tuned.
