The 100 Season 2 Release Date and the Latest Cast News, Plus, Spoilers: The Fates of the Characters are Still Up in the Air
The upcoming latest season of the hit TV series "The 100" was said that it will only have 16 episodes.
The president of CW, Mark Pedowitz, reportedly admitted in an interview that they "[believed] in the storytelling of [Season 1] that was only 13 episodes" and the reason why the show will only be having 16 episodes for this year is so that Jason Rothenberg, the show's executive producer, should be able to produce the stories that he needed in a quick way to show it out there to everyone.
We have all seen the amount of action that the first season of "The 100" ended with. The fates of the characters Finn and Bellamy are still quite unsure, while, for the meantime, Monty, Clarke as well as many others are being held at Mount Weather. Moreover, the Ark came crashing down to Earth while Jaha seems to be out there in space, trapped.
According to Pedowitz, the dark note that the first season ended with was a good call because it gave the audience something they will be looking to get to. "He made a gritty show, something that was maybe not unique at first, but he made it unique to ourselves and it had a solid following. We appreciate the critical reviews that we received. And more importantly, it had a very strong digital following," he added.
When it comes to the latest cast, a Raymond J. Barry is set to play Dante Wallace, a "passionate painter" who is also the leader of the Mountain Men whom Clarke will meet inside Mount Weather.
