'Shameless' Season 5 Release Date Update: Expected Premiere in 2015, New Cast Members May Appear

Shameless, an American comedy-dram television show, started on June 9, 2011 is expected to launching the 5th season in 2015. Shameless season 5 release date is still unconfirmed but sources say that it may be released somewhere in the beginning of 2015. However, nothing is officially announced by the producers.

The series is based on Frank Gallagher's dysfunctional family . He is a father of six children who is always found drunken. Amidst such situation, the kids learn to take care of themselves. The story is a real entertainer and has some emotional moments too. The second season was premiered on January 8, 2012 while the third on January 13, 2013. The fourth season premiered on January 12, 2014. The fifth season got renewed on February 18. 2014 and the shooting has already started on July 8. 2014.

Looking at the above dates and sequence of releases, it is much easy to notice that the 5th season could well be launched in the beginning of 2015, may be in January. The series has done good so far and has won many awards including the nominations in the recent Emmy Awards. Talking about the reviews, Tim Goodman from Hollywood Reporter said that "Shameless is excellent, compelling television from the first moment. As long as it stays true to the roots of the original, it's going to be essential viewing".

HBO is yet to announce the Shameless season 5 release date. As per the sources, it is believed that Mulroney will be returning in the upcoming season to join with Justin Chatwin. It is also said that new members may be added to the drama such as Steve Kazee as a handsome musician. Emily Bergyl is stable with her role as Sammi Gallagher. Dean Morgan too will be seen again in refreshed role. The producers are trying to make the drama more entertaining and ensuring comedy remains the soul of the series.
