Family Guy's The Simpsons Guy Episode, Latest News: See The Griffins Mix It Up And Bond With The Simpsons, Plus A Cameo By Bob of Bob's Burger on Sept. 28

The Family Guy Season 13 first episode will be a cross-over parody show with The Simpsons. It will be entitled "The Simpsons Guy" and it will air on September 28, 2014, at its regular 9 PM time slot on Fox TV.

The Family Guy-Simpsons TV cross-over has been a much talked-about subject on the entertainment circuit ever since Fox unveiled a five-minute teaser trailer of "The Simpsons Guy" episode at last month's San Diego Comic-Con. Following the screening, Stuart Heritage at the Guardian even went to the extent of saying, "It's impossible to work out why The Simpsons would debase itself by allowing this to happen [since The Family Guy] "is, at heart, a crap Simpsons." But of course, there are far too many more geeks out there who are actually excited to see the show.

In the first episode of Family Guy's Season 13, according to inside sources, Peter Griffins (Seth MacFarlane) and his family will go on a road trip and end up in Springfield, where they will be welcomed by Homer Simpson (Dan Castellaneta). Homer will take and introduce his new "albino" friends to his family. The families get along well: Stewie (MacFarlane) becomes obsessed with Bart (Nancy Cartwright) and his old-fashioned pranks; Lisa (Yeardley Smith) takes Meg (Mila Kunis) under her wing and is determined to find where she can be good at; Marge (Julie Kavner) and Lois (Alex Borstein) ditch housework for some bonding of their own; which leaves Peter and Homer arguing and fighting over whether Pawtucket Patriot Ale or Duff Beer is the best brew in town.

The guest stars for "The Simpsons Guy" episode will reportedly be Allison Janney, Lea Thompson, Julie Bowen and Liam Neeson. And there will be a cameo appearance by Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin) of Bob's Burgers, another Fox animated TV sitcom which won the 2014 Emmy for outstanding animated program.
