Michael W. Smith Offers Christian Cruise To Alaska Alongside Other Well-known Christian Artists
Michael W. Smith is inviting friends and fans to join him and guest artists Philips Craig & Dean, Darlene Zschech, Scott Hamilton and John Branyan on a Christian Cruise to Alaska from July 6- 13, 2014.
"One of the highlights of my career has been the cruises we have taken with so many of you," Smith wrote in a letter on the Inspiration Cruises website. "From the special onboard concerts to powerful devotions and some pretty hilarious moments: the week affords us all a chance to unwind while connecting with friends and family in a deeper way." He is also excited to invite musical guests along for the ride.
Phillips Craig & Dean are a contemporary Christian music trio that has been creating music together for over 20 years. They have released 12 albums, which have given way to 20 No. 1 radio hits. They have sold almost three million records and have received two GMA Dove Awards for Inspirational Album of the Year in 2009 and Inspirational Song of the Year in 2010. Their most popular song to date is 'Great I Am' from their 2012 album 'Breathe In.'
Darlene Zschech is a Australian worship leader, pastor, singer/songwriter, speaker and author. She has written and performed over 80 songs and has written a number of best-selling books including 'Extravagant Worship,' 'The Kiss of Heaven' and 'The Art of Mentoring.' Her most recent musical project, 'Revealing Jesus,' has reached #1 on the Praise and Worship charts and features big name artists Matthew W. Smith, Kari Jobe and Israel Houghton. Zschech has also received an International Award from the Gospel Music Association making an impact on the global church.
Scott Hamilton is a world famous male figure skater who has won 70 titles, awards and honors, including an Emmy Award nomination, Olympic Gold Medal, induction into the United States Olympic Hall of Fame and membership in the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame. In addition, he is an enthusiastic sports commentator, performer, public speaker, philanthropist, and best-selling author as well as a cancer and pituitary brain tumor survivor. In 2012 he released his most recent inspirational book, entitled 'The Great Eight.'
John Branyan is an energetic comedian who covers a wide array of topics from electronic cigarettes, to Snuggies, to automatic flushing toilets to the proper age to stop chewing your shoe in church. He his committed to clean comedy that is appropriate for all ages. In this way,
Branyan hopes to bring God's gift of joy and laughter to diverse audiences.
The Itinerary for the trip includes a day at sea (July 7), a scenic glacier view at Tracy Arm (July 8), a day of exploration at Alaska's Capitol city, Juneau (July 9), visits to the towns of Sitka and Ketchikan (July 10 and 11) and a visit to Victoria, B.C., Canada (July 12). Expect to see ice-blue glaciers, roaring waterfalls and snow-covered mountains rising up from the water's edge, among other breath-taking sights. It is a wonderful way to become immersed in the beauty of God's creation.
The cruise also offers an opportunity to rehearse and perform in a choir with Michael W. Smith. Those who are interested must sign up for 'The Choir Track' and spaces are limited.
The ship is Holland America's msAmsterdam, which offers both luxury and beauty, as well as five-star service. On-board cabin prices range from $1, 298- $4,698, depending on what kind of accommodations you are looking for.
