Taylor Swift Interview & Behind the Scenes Footage Released from 'Shake It Off' Music Video Shoot, Watch Here (VIDEO)
Taylor Swift released for new single and music video for "Shake It Off" last week and the song immediately went to No.1 on the Billboard 100. Now they have released behind the scenes footage video and interview with Taylor to show her fans the filming experience. This video just focuses on the cheerleading section of the video and there will be more outtake videos to come! You can check out the footage above.
Taylor shared, "A lot of people who will relate to this song are people who are dealing with not ever feeling cool about themselves because other people make them feel like they don't fit in. One thing that I learned in this whole process is that you can get everything you want in life without ever feeling like you fit in."
Taylor Swift had a big day for her and her fans on August 18th. She had been teasing a Yahoo live stream for several weeks and it finally came today and did not disappoint. She announced her new album (read more below) gave her fans a listen to her first single and later in the day officially released the music video for her first single "Shake It Off", which you can check out above.
In the extended personal interview on Yahoo, Swift answered fan questions from all over the world on social media and from the audience.
"I have three big surprises for you today," the 24-year-old singer shared and played "Shake It Off", the first single from her much-anticipated fifth album. Swift says she wrote and produced the song with Max Martin and Shellback, the team that created I Knew You Were Trouble and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. Their goal, she said, was to created something that sounded "like nothing like anything I had done."
Taylor then announced the big news that she is releasing a new album and it will be titled 1989. She revealed the album art as well, which you can check out above. She admits that she loves polaroid cameras and the 'tangible' feel that they give. Her album cover was from one of those polaroid cameras.
She shares that the reason for the title was that it is her birth date (December 13, 1989) but also that she likes to have two years in between albums to see her growth. She shared that her new album would be her first full on pop album and inspired from the music of the 80's that she has been listening to.
"I really loved the chances they were taking. I loved how bold it was," she said. "It was, apparently, a time of limitless potential. ... The idea of endless possibility was kind of a theme in the last year of my life."
She announced that she is releasing her new album 1989 on October 27th and she revealed that you can pre-orders the new album at her website starting today.
She answered a fan question that there would be a deluxe edition of the album and it will include three bonus tracks that are "just voice memos from my phone" to help her fans see into her writing process that she gets asked about so much.
