Jack Reacher 2 Updates: Movie pushed back to a later release date due to Tom Cruise's Mission Impossible Commitments
Jack Reacher 2 will be based on Lee Child's novel, "Never Go Back". In this sequel, Jack Reacher is accused of fathering a child with a woman he has no idea of meeting.
"There's something a lot more important in this book, however: a smart, super-precocious teen girl. She could easily end up taking a bigger role in the film than she does in the book, and in so doing make the movie attractive to audiences that didn't even glance in Jack Reacher's direction," as reported by Slashfilm.com.
Amazon posts an official synopsis of the novel saying:
"After an epic and interrupted journey all the way from the snows of South Dakota, Jack Reacher has finally made it to Virginia. His destination: a sturdy stone building a short bus ride from Washington D.C., the headquarters of his old unit, the 110th MP. It was the closest thing to a home he ever had. Why? He wants to meet the new commanding officer, Major Susan Turner. He liked her voice on the phone. But the officer sitting behind Reacher's old desk isn't a woman. Why is Susan Turner not there?"
Jack Reacher 2 will hit theaters on 2016, but keep coming back for any latest news.
