Moto 360 release date, price and specs: Motorola's new smartphone to be released on September, will reportedly be retailed at $250 according to BestBuy
Moto 360 news: Moto 360 release date is scheduled for September 4 in Chicago, according to press launch invites sent out by the company.
The Moto 360 release date coincides with the release of the Moto X+1 and Moto G2 smartphones. A new headset is thrown into the mix.
The smartwatch will be out in shelves by September 25.
Motorola's highly anticipated smartwatch created a lot of buzz at the Google I/O event in May, and is now a reality after months of speculation.
Powered by Android wear, Moto 360's round, stainless steel face is a welcome change from the typical square-shaped smartwatches out in the market today and could pass off as a regular dress watch. Its lighter and slimmer frame makes Moto 360 ideal for everyday wear. Left-handed users won't have a problem as Moto 360 can be worn on either wrist; the display adapts automatically.
Moto 360 specs leaked online reveal that the smartwatch will use wireless magnetic Qi induction charging technology and will be compatible with all Android 4.3, 4.4, and Android L devices.
Other Moto 360 specs include a 1.5-inch full color LCD touchscreen, voice command features, and multi-screen capability - users can access and navigate several apps simultaneously. Plus, Moto 360 is water- proof in up to 3 feet of water for approximately 30 minutes.
According to website BestBuy, Moto 360 price is initially pegged at $250.
