Daft Punk Tour News: 2014 Tour has been postponed due to Failed Negotiations with Devil's Tower National Monument for tribes thinking concert is sacrilegious
Fans of the electro-dynamic duo, Daft Punk have long been waiting for the duo's 2014 concert tour. Unfortunately for them though, they will have to wait a little bit longer for the concept to actually materialize. It has just been reported that the tour will have to be postponed due to some negotiation issues with the venues.
Earlier in the year, the two artists have kept fans excited as they talk about their plans to hold a concert tour. There were even various reports wherein the crew were already scouting for ideal locations where to hold the events. One of the locations that they have scouted was Devils Tower National Monument in Wyoming. Unfortunately, the proposal was turned down since the tribes in the area are very values-oriented and a would be concert is not part of their traditions.
According to a very reliable source, it was the French DJ's themselves that have spoken with the superintendent of Devil's Tower National Monument. As per the superintendent, many tribes reside near the area that considers the location very sacred to them and their beliefs. They consider holding a concert being sacrilegious.
We have good news for fans though, although the concert details are yet to be finalized at this point, the duo will be releasing a remix compilation of their 2005 album titled 'Human After All' on iTunes. There is no special celebration or event accompanying the remix but it has been given a surprise reissue in Japan.
