Rumors and speculations of the iPod touch 6G's release dates and specs have been going around in the past few years, and no one source can confirm the validity of their claims. So let's boil them down and take the previous predictions a little further.

Let's start with the product release date. Based on the Apple's 2-year gap product launch dates for the iPod touch lineup since 2010, it is very likely that the release date for iPod touch 6G is around September to October 2014. iPod touch 4G was launched on September 1, 2010.
