Just the other week, RocNation also landed the 2010 NBA MVP Kevin Durant a 10-year endorsement contract with Nike that could fetch more than $300 million for Oklahoma City's star player. RocNation made the mega-deal possible by orchestrating a bidding war between Nike and Under Armour. Since winning the MVP award, according to the Associated Press report, Durant "has re-signed with Nike, Sprint and BBVA Compass, added deals with Orange Leaf and Sparkling Ice and was named the cover athlete for NBA 2K15."

In related NBA news, Durant said that his decision not to join Team USA's FIBA World Cup trip to Spain was prompted by fatigue. His statement to the public reads: "After going through training camp with USAB, I realized I could not fulfill my responsibilities to the team from both a time and energy standpoint. I need to take a step back and take some time away, both mentally and physically in order to prepare for the upcoming NBA season."
