NBA Trade Rumors: Boston Celtics Rajon Rondo Wants Out?

The NBA trade rumors 2014 that Boston Celtics star point guard Rajon Rondo wants out persist despite denials by Rondo himself as well as by his agent Bill Duffy. According to a Boston Herald NBA news report, Allyson Furch, a spokeswoman for Duffy's agency, in a text message said: "Neither Bill nor Rajon know where this has come from, but it didn't come from them. They want this on the record. Neither has spoken to anyone about this."

That Rondo wants out of Boston started from a behind-the-scenes clip of ESPN's 'Around the Horn' wherein veteran scribe Jackie MacMullan indicated that Rondo has already made it clear he will not stay after his contract expires next summer. While the video of that segment of the show has already been pulled out of Youtube, the contentious ESPN NBA trade rumors remains. A the tape of the incident can be seen at Deadspin and it shows MacMullan saying on record, "Oh, I hope so. Just get it done. And it will happen because he's told them he wants out. And no one believes me, but that's the truth. And I don't see how you get 80 cents on the dollar for him. Tell me where."

In related NBA news, league executives think Rondo will start the 2014-15 season with the Boston Celtics due to a lack of leverage in his trade request says CSNNE. Also according to the report, "Multiple league sources have repeatedly said that Rondo wants to start the season in Boston and see where things go from there. A similar sentiment has trickled out of Celtics camp, as well."

NBA streaming live on TV and on the Internet resumes October 28 for the opening of the 2014-2015 NBA season.
