Insurgent movie release date and exciting news: Shailene Woodley and Theo James Praised Director Robert Schwentke for finding the right balance in every aspect of the film
Shailene Woodley and Theo James is out to reprise their roles as Tris and Four in the upcoming Divergent sequel, Insurgent. The movie is based on the book written by Veronica Roth and it follows the adventures of Tris.
In a recent interview with LA Times pop culture blog Hero Complex, both stars explained that "'Insurgent' is surprisingly big in all sense of production, emotional, and is full of truth." Director Robert Schwentke had the cast and crew film in Atlanta during the winter.
"Our director is different, the set design is different, the costumes are different. It feels much bigger. It's interesting because the movie feels bigger in tone and in image but in a scene it feels smaller. Some scenes feel like we're doing an indie film in a way because they're so full of truth," Woodley reveals.
The 22 year old actress mentioned that "the upcoming sequel is emotional, but not in a cheesy way". James also commented that "although everything about the film seems grander on the big screen, we were able to maintain that the crux of the story is escapism."
Describing their director, Schwentke, Woodley praised him for being persistent and has the ability to find the right balance between scenes. She further explained, "Until it has the right flow or the right tone, he won't move on and that's a big blessing in a big movie like this."
Fans are eagerly anticipating the team up of Woodley and James in the big screen again - and how their love for each other develops along the way. Nonetheless, the action scenes would seem worthwhile to watch.
Insurgent release date is on March 20, 2015.
