Avatar 2 Latest News: A Return to the World of Pandora - A World where Imaginations run Wild
The first Avatar movie, released in 2009, was well-praised for its beautiful graphics and has touched many hearts of different cultures. Now, Avatar 2, its sequel, is finally coming back to the big screen by December 2016. James Cameron, the movie's producer and director, said "I'm looking forward to returning to Pandora, a world where our imaginations can run wild" when asked about Avatar 2.
He also mentioned that the scenes from the first Avatar film will be used in its sequel as a reminder of the initial plot, and to inform the audience that the Avatar franchise has a single storyline from the start. This may mean that Avatar 3 is already planned to follow the sequel.
He also said that the setting of Avatar 2 will take place several years after the events of the first storyline. He also confirmed that the Na'vi culture and the Oceans of Pandora will be explored further in the upcoming sequel.
Original casts from the first Avatar will return to reprise their roles including Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, and Michelle Rodriguez.
In other news, Saldana, Avatar's "Neytiri", is soon to give birth to her first baby with husband Marco Perego. She is now around three months pregnant. The rumor is that they are expecting twins.
Produced by James Cameron, Avatar 2 will hit theaters on December 2016.
