It was a burst for Outlander's first episode ("Sassenach") last night. If you have missed it, read on for more episode details.
This series bites off with Frank and Claire Randall who wants to have their second honeymoon at Scotland after World War II. Due to their work commitments, they have not seen each other for several days way back five years ago.
The couple did explore the area and they came along standing stones. They saw Halloween night women performed and they have watched the mystical dance and the chanting. Claire went back to the standing stones and got flowers that she saw the day before. This time the stones have their own life and she was transported back to Scotland in the year 1700s.
When she realized that guns were fired, she run for life, and fall off to a British soldier who at first she thought of her husband. It was not Frank, but Captain Jack Randall her ancestor. Claire was nearly raped by him and was saved by knocking her out by a highlander.
Claire woke up and pretended to be Claire Beauchamp. She affirmed herself and used her skills to fix the dislocated shoulder of Jaime. She became their prisoner until they can figure out her true identity and her real purpose.
As they travel, Claire saw a familiar rock formation and revealed important information that Frank have told her: the British soldiers used the area for trap. The highlanders thanked her for her warning. However, they were still doubtful for what Claire told them.
On their next ride, Claire helped Jaime for the second time. Obviously, they were making a connection. As they approached Castle Leoch, Claire recognized the castle that she and Frank visited. Now, the castle was ruined. Claire wondered what she would do to stay alive and how to get her way back home.
