We have the latest for you on the spoilers, trailer, episode 1 news and premiere of The Vampire Diaries Season 6. Enthusiasts of The Vampire Diaries are counting down days to the release of the 6^th season of the series which is expected to premier on 2^nd October on the CW.  A number of spoilers are making rounds and Ian Somerhalder , posted a photo of what is believed to a first look of his character on Instagram.

As seen in the spoilers, Stefan Salvatore has fled his allies and has a new girlfriend.  Caroline Forbes is trying to reassemble the gang. In the meantime, Elena Gilbert is still fighting her drug problem.  In the final episode of the fifth season, Damon and Bonnie sacrificed their lives to save their buddies and loved ones. Enthusiasts were instantly perturbed as it looked as if that was the end of the beloved vampire, but Somerhalder revealed that Damon is still on the script.

In the meantime, the rumor mill also has it that Nina Dobrev (Elena) is to leave the show after the 6^th season.  This is as a result of personal differences with Somerhalder who is his ex boyfriend.  As reported by Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Dobrev is tired of seeing Somerhalder parading his new lover, actress Nikki Reed, on the set of The Vampire Diaries. Rumor has it that Somerhalder and Reed moved in together in Atlanta where recording for the show.

In other news, E Online reports that the humans in Mystic Falls are being terrorized by unknown supernatural creature. This makes things quite interesting as the town is under The Traveller's spell barring Vampires from entering the town as it will result to their death (where they desiccate).
