Last year, The Avengers: Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon told in an interview that one of Avengers will not make it in the Ultron film. Speculations were already focused on several Avenger candidates.

In Avengers: Age of Ultron movie, possible candidates to be killed off includes Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch and the United State's greatest soldier - Captain America.

Avengers: Age of Ultron Rumor

There is some basis about the rumor that Captain America may receive the axe. According to Screen Rant, the Captain America actor, Chris Evans is negotiating the reduction of his feature films from nine to only six. If they decide to kill off Captain America, he will surely be missed by the fans.

But just like in the comic books, there is always a chance that Captain America will come back from the dead.

Captain America 3 Update

It has now been confirmed that there will be a third installment of Captain America. In fact, the Captain America release date has been scheduled for May 6, 2016.

According to the International Business Times, the movie directors, assured fans that they will faithfully follow what last transpired during Captain America 2 - The Winter Soldier.

During the second installment of the Captain America movie, S.H.E.I.L.D. was compromised by Hydra. It is an organization headed by the Red Skull, in which Captain America encountered and fought in the first installment.

Brothers Joe and Anthony Russo are co-directors in the upcoming movie Captain America 3. The two directors gave some of their insights on what fans could expect in the third installment of Captain America. In Captain America 2, S.H.E.I.L.D. has been destroyed as an organization by Hydra. Such similar game changing event will also happen in Captain America 3. Joe Russo says that the upcoming movie, "alters the universe as a whole in some way."
