Law & Order SVU Season 16 premiere, updates: Olivia focuses on being a new mom, Peter Gallagher joins the long-running crime and drama series
Law & Order SVU Season 16 premiere airs on September 24, and it looks like Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) won't have it easy.
Law & Order SVU Season 16 spoilers leaked online revealed that while Detective Benson won't have a love life drama, she will face the challenge of being a new mom to her son Noah. Fans of the long-running series need to stay tuned as Benson might have to deal with situations that put Noah in danger - a nightmare for any mother.
"Last year, she took enormous risks in her pursuit of William Lewis; from now on, she's aware there's an infant at home entirely dependent on her," said Law & Order SVU Season 16 showrunner Warren Leight.
Plus, Peter Gallagher (American Beauty, The O.C., While You Were Sleeping) joins the Law & Order SVU Season 16 cast with a recurring role as the tough but charismatic Deputy Chief William Dodds, who will be the boss of Special Victims Units across new York. He will also be Benson's boss.
