Fox New Show Gotham: News And Updates On This Fall Season's Most Promising New TV Show
The new Gotham TV series have won critics over. Because a lot of shows are preparing to launch on television soon, the Television Critics Association or TCA have conducted its annual poll for shows. And guess who gets the most promising series award? Gotham!
In the drama category, Gotham also topped all the other TV shows, placing The Affair in second place and in third place is How To Get Away With Murder starring the lovely Viola Davis. Looks like Fox's new TV series is definitely making waves and we are all eager to see how the show will turn out.
Basically, Gotham will showcase the Bat-origin that the city is known for. More specifically, it tells the journey of a young James Gordon, the man that we all know as the police commissioner of Gotham City. The TV series will be interesting, especially to all Batman fans, because we get to see different versions of the Batman villains that we have been seeing in the movies. Villains like The Riddler, The Penguin and of course, they wouldn't leave out the sexy Catwoman.
Let's get to know some of the cast, shall we? The young James Gordon will be played by Ben McKenzie as he makes a comeback in the small screen after starring in Southland and The OC. James Gordon's partner will be played by Donal Logue who has also starred in television series like Sons of Anarchy and Terriers. Bruce Wayne's kid version will be appearing in the pilot and will be played by David Mazouz. Other stars who will be seen in the pilot (and possibly the next few episodes?) are Jada Pinkett Smith, John Doman, Cory Michael Smith, Robin Lord Taylor and Camren Bicondova.
Don't miss out on TCA's most promising TV show. The Gotham TV series release date for the pilot episode is on September 22!
