The Biggest Loser Season 16 Trainers Talk About Fitness Philosophy and Surprises in Store for Biggest Loser Fans! Plus, A Look at Some of The Biggest Loser Season 16 Contestants

The Biggest Loser fans are in for much bigger surprises for the exciting 16th season! In an exclusive interview, The Biggest Loser 16 trainers dished out on what to look forward to in this season of the biggest reality show on TV, their fitness and health philosophies in life, what the contestants would be like as well as how this current season would go on very differently from all the other Biggest Loser seasons to date.

For one thing, according to the show's newbie trainers Jessie Pavelka and Jennifer Widerstrom, The Biggest Loser Season 16 contestants include former athletes who aim to reclaim their former fit and athletic selves. Included in The Biggest Loser Season 16 cast are former NFL players Damien Woody and Scott Mitchell, a WNBU alum Vanessa Hayden and Zina Garrison, a tennis player who had won gold in an Olympic event in the past.

"We're looking at people that are very coachable," said Widerstrom. "They're picking up the cues very quickly."

"The first workout's insane," Pavelka added.

Both trainers-who replaced former Biggest Loser star Jillian Michaels-also mentioned that they are going to have different approaches from those of Michaels, and that includes making their programs a lot more flexible and customized to suit each contestant's needs. "It is custom to each person," noted Widerstrom. "I really need to uniquely find what formula works with each contestant on the inside and the outside."
