At the end of season 10, it was revealed that Maggie was actually the love child between Weber and Ellis. This led to the realization that Maggie is Meredith's half-sister. In the new season, it appears that these two sisters are going to build a new relationship as the two experience a tragic accident, "causing two teenagers to be caught in a very compromising position".

Also, Derek, who still wants to move to Washington D.C., will "struggle to regain a sense of normalcy both at home and in the hospital". As for Meredith, she tells her husband Derek that she doesn't want to move to Washington D.C. with him. Meredith worries that her marriage with Derek won't survive their recent obstacle.

Meanwhile, Callie and Arizona came to a decision about surrogacy, and Amelia will overhear a big secret. What do you think is the big secret?

It is said that this season is going to be centered on Meredith, as showrunner Shonda Rhimes said, "It's really a Meredith-centric season. There's a lot of growth. She's a lot person. Her sister has showed up. Her husband is chafing to go someplace else. She's got all these things going on. Maybe that's the theme; maybe it's independence. But for me right now, it feels like it's Meredith. I'm feeling her more acutely because she's lost her person.

Grey's Anatomy season 11 premieres Thursday, September 25 at 8PM on ABC.
