Warner Bros. the streaming giants is reportedly paying $1.75 million per episode to license worldwide rights to the show. It can't start showing "Gotham" until after the 16-episode season is over.

"Gotham" is an original story surrounding a war hero James Gordon (Ben McKenzie), in an idealistic detective on the corrupt Gotham police force who later goes on to be Batman's ally.
The future caped superhero Bruce Wayne, Batman is introduced to us as a mere lad (13-year-old David) as he witnesses the killing of his parents which is also witnessed by young thief, Selena Kyle (Carmen Bicondova) the future Catwoman.

While being stitched up he gave thumbs up sign to the camera and captioned the image: "Doc Sherman at York-Presbyterian, you are a career saver. Thanks for stitching me up nice. Back to work Monday. #gotham. With his stitch properly bandaged, Gotham TV series actor Ben McKenzie posted a photograph looking pensive where he wrote, "Happy Birthday to me. Fight sequence gone awry. Don't ram your head into concrete pillar kid. #gotham."
"if you're a crime crusader like Detective James Gordon, you have to watch for pillars as well as swinging fists...because pillars always like to hit heads," this was the websites Deadline's take on Ben McKenzie's situation.
"Gotham" will depict the origins of great DC Comics super-villains and how they come into being. "Gotham" is slated to premiere on 22nd September.
